The top professional wakeboarders in the world are set to kick off a brand new season of high-flying, rail-sliding, water-sports action, as the MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour opens its 2010 season, on May 20-22, on the waters of Lake Allatoona at Dallas Landing Park in Acworth, Ga.
Acworth is the first of five stops in a series points race for the coveted Pro Tour title. Riders accumulate points based on final placement at each tour stop, with the highest total points-earner taking home the Pro Tour title at the end of the season.

Billabong launches a Green Day Co-operation boardshort: the Mass Hysteria boardshort.
Billabong and Green Day have been working on a Design Coop for the release of a special limited edition, The Green Day Mass Hysteria boardshort for 2010.
Cooperation with rock bands and musicians have been raised to an art at Billabong since the undenied successes of collaborations with the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Foo Fighters, Donavon Frankenreiter or more recently with Metallica.

Great vid over at www.thewakeplace.com. Shot on the Saturday of the Wake Games in Orlando, Adam and Jimmy were crushing tricks out at Jimmy’s new place on Clear Lake. With Jimmy’s new Nautique 230, and with Jimmy on his new board, he was landing crazy lines. His first went grabbed heel 9, toe 9, grabbed heel 7, huge back 5 into crowmobe - nuts! Adam was also on form, making his toe 9 look easy, and coming up annoyingly short on a 1080 at the end of his short set. Its good to see these guys riding consistent at this level, who know where they’ll take it over the coming season….

Two truly amazing live acts performing on Wakestock’s Monster Energy main stage. This is the most incredible headline combo in Wakestock’s 13 year history! The annual event will be held July 9/11 in Hood River and F-One Americas will donate a Air Force Surf travel bag + some swags. Starting this year KB4C is organizing and hosting kiteboarding and SUP survivorship/instructional camps for young adults with cancer. (More info on the camps here). Money raised from the KB4C and SUP4C events in July will help fund these camps and put young adults through the camp for free. You can also help and/or donate. More info at www.kb4c.org.

After the F-One Manera video, Mitu, Djo and Matchu are featured in this new documentary. Directed by Thierry Albert and produced by Sophie Ebrard & Pundersons Gardens. Commissioned by Diesel New Voices and Dazed & Confused. The scenes of Mitu coming back from his win in the KPWT Wave championship, and being celebrated like a national hero in Cabo Verde are a testament of what sport can achieve.

After months of planning and anticipation the 8th annual three day wake and music festival has come and gone. With so much hype preceding the event it was going to be hard to live up to expectations, but TSR nailed it by putting on the best event ever at Texas Ski Ranch. The cast of wake competitiors was better than ever before and between the Rookie Triathlon, Mickey Avalon and the Bikini Contest Saturday night there was plenty of action to entertain the estimated 10,000 people that passed through TSR this past weekend.
