LINK: Slingshot Kite Blog - 2nd place in PKRA Cabarete by Karolina

It was a hard week in PKRA Cabarete, 14 women and 39 men from 20 countries came to struggle with Caribbean weather and win this event. As all riders from south countries (brazilians, spanish etc.) are always complaining about the horrible weather in the north (Canada, Germany, Poland). Now is my time to complain about the weather in Cabarete. It was 31′C with 100% humidity plus torrential rains which were stopping the wind, waves and people to move out from their hotels.

“A simple pull down into one of the many seams behind the wave would tangle him irrevocably in his lines, and impede his ability to swim towards the surface. All too often he had been pulled down into the deep blackness of Mavericks’ anterior room, silent, crushing, black.”

Let me start off by saying, this is not a typical article, set in a typical place, or a typical wave, in a typical environment....

2010 F-One Revolt 3, size 13m review

2010 F-One Revolt 3, size 13m review

I got my hands on the new Delta kite from F-One, a kite designed for progression: The Revolt 3 size 13 m.

Right out from the shipping box, the kite looks awesome. Nice blue trendy kitebag, awesome finish. Same size as the other F-One kite bags.

I got the kite out and looked at the bar. It has straps for depower and power (Bandit has depower rope with clam cleat)

It's a hard living. Dragging yourself to yet another beach or lagoon. Blistering heat, a mouth full of salty water and sand in your bed every night.
